About
Why We Exist
The Big Red Barn Retreat was built in honor of Leon Irons, who passed away in 2009. Leon served in the Navy out of high school before beginning a successful career in the restaurant business. His family still operates the Sonic Drive-Ins in the Columbia area, as well as some other markets. To honor his life and his love of country, his family opened The Big Red Barn Retreat to help our military in need of healing find peace. The Big Red Barn Retreat is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Our mission would not be possible without the support of our donors and volunteers.
