Big Red Barn Retreat

Military Appreciation Month

May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces, as well as the families who stand beside them through every challenge and triumph.

At the Big Red Barn Retreat, this month holds deep meaning. Our mission is rooted in supporting our active-duty service members, veterans, Reservists, and National Guardsmen as they navigate life’s challenges and discover new purpose through posttraumatic growth, community, and connection.

Military service often comes with unseen burdens, stress, transition, loss, and the weight of experiences that can be difficult to carry alone. Military Appreciation Month is not only a time to say “thank you,” but also a reminder of the importance of showing up for our nation’s heroes in meaningful ways.

Through our no-cost programs and services, we are committed to providing opportunities for growth, support, and connection.

These offerings are designed to help participants move forward with strength, purpose, and the knowledge that they are not alone.

This month, we encourage our community to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by military members and their families. Whether it’s through a simple thank you, volunteering, supporting veteran-focused organizations, or learning more about the challenges many face after service, every action matters.

serve those who have served us.

This Military Appreciation Month, and every month, we stand with our nation’s heroes.
