FARM-TO-TABLE COOKING CLASS
Preparing food and eating together with friends or family works in building connections and relationships. Food helps people engage through informal conversations over a shared experience of eating together. For those that are struggling and feeling isolated, preparing a meal with family or friends is a wonderful wellness practice.
Furthermore, cooking can serve as a regulation practice and have a positive impact on mental health. Cooking can be a form of stress relief and a way to relax and unwind after a long day. The act of chopping vegetables or stirring a pot of soup can be therapeutic and can help to clear your mind. Cooking can also be a creative outlet, as you design and prepare meals.
The Farm-to-Table cooking classes teach many different recipes from around the world, featuring locations with US military bases such as South Korea, Germany, and more.
The class is facilitated and instructed by a Warrior PATHH Chef. On occasion, the class will feature a local Chef from the Midlands area.
